After a few years purchasing discs to create our own designs, Dynamic Discs partnered with Latitude 64, a Swedish company known for producing some of the sturdiest, most visually striking disc golf discs. Today, Latitude 64 makes our own products, as well as those for Westside Discs, and all three brands are sold through our storefront.

About Latitude 64 Discs

Passionate disc golf players Tomas Ekström, Svante Eriksson, David Berglund, and Johan Åström formed Latitude 64 in 2005.

The name references the coordinates of Bergsbyn and the small town of Skellefteå, located in northern Sweden. After the United States, disc golf has a strong following in Scandinavia, and this small town near the Arctic Circle has produced six championship-winning players to date. Specifically, members from Skellefteå brought home two Junior World Championships, four European Championships, and two PDGA World's Double titles. As well, illustrating the region's love for the sport, Bergsbyn is home to Discgolf Terminalen, Sweden's largest disc golf course with 36 holes.

Latitude 64 doesn't just pay tribute the region's enthusiasm: its creators, like Dynamic Discs' team, seek to take the sport of disc golf to new heights. In turn, Latitude 64 has aimed to develop quality disc golf discs and gear from the start, crafting its products for everyone from beginners to tournament players.

What's Different About Latitude 64 Discs?

The superior plastics going into Latitude 64 discs helped the company grow since its inception, to the point that it's recognized the world over for its quality and performance. Today, Latitude 64 discs are composed of the following compounds:

  • Gold Line: Latitude 64's premium blend plastic starts with the same durable composition as the Opto Line but adds a new polymer to improve grip.
  • Opto Line: Created out of the world's most durable plastics, Latitude 64's Opto Line is known for its ability to withstand extreme conditions and its translucent, colorful appearance.
  • Opto Air: Opto Air plastics use the same composition as the Opto Line but deliver a lighter feel, thanks to different weight distribution.
  • Reprocessed: This is Latitude 64's Recycled Factory Seconds plastic. Re-ground plastics offer eco-friendly construction that delivers a distinctive look and doesn't compromise grip.
  • Zero Line: Encompassing Soft, Medium, and Hard materials, the Zero Line is a soft plastic with an excellent grip that's used for putter and approach discs.
  • Retro Line: This compound's meant to make players nostalgic for the '80s, a period in which discs were less stable compared to today but broke in quickly. After multiple tests, Latitude 64 came up with this plastic that feels old school but delivers modern performance.
