DDO Tee Off Song: In The Air Tonight - Phil Collins
My Dynamic Discs Story:My DD story dates back to 2005. I happened to run into Jeremy Rusco on the disc golf course and convinced him to play a small tournament I was running called the Glass Blown Open. After some serious thought, Rusco agreed and went on to become the 2005 Intermediate CHAMPION! From there, we became pretty good friends. This was right around the time Dynamic Discs was in its infancy. I recall helping Jeremy pick the logo and assisting with ordering discs. I became the first Dynamic Discs sponsored player, and was excited to represent, "crooked logos" and all. Rusco and I shared the same vision of growing the sport, and his brand. My goal at the time was to turn the Glass Blown Open into something even more special than it already was. I knew with the help of Rusco, Dynamic Discs, and the City of Emporia, this goal could become a reality. When Dynamic Discs took over the Glass Blown in 2008, attendance starting rapidly increasing. This caught the interest of the City of Emporia and we were officially on their radar. What does this mean? More courses of course! Which ultimately resulted in the installation of multiple new courses, and players in our great town!
Flash forward to 13 years later and I'm blown away by how far Dynamic Discs has come. I'm honored to still be a big part of this great company, and even closer friends with Jeremy.
